PHILOSOPHY
I want to provide honest bodywork that is meant to enhance how people feel- whether they come with the goal of relaxation, relieving pain or increasing range of motion. The goal is always to work within your nervous system- not over power it. I will use all of the tools and knowledge I possess to help clients achieve their goals. I don't use just one modality or tool to achieve goals. The body is a self healing, self correcting organism, my goal is to help it do what it does best so you can live your best life.
I am always learning something new! My most recent classes were cranial sacral therapy and visceral manipulation.
I generally use modalities like swedish, precision neuromuscular therapy, ortho-bionomy, cranial sacral, long holds (like in trigger point therapy), muscle stripping, and myofascial release. I sometimes suggest the use of Dolphin microcurrent point stimulation and cupping.
Medical Massage-
When the goal is increasing range of motion or relieving chronic pain, I create a treatment plan with clients. The typical session includes a thorough intake, assessment, treatment and re-evaluation. Most often when clients need medical massage they benefit from multiple sessions closer together like once a week or every two weeks for 3-5 sessions. Clients are encouraged to wear thin flexible clothing that is easy to move in as treatment doesn't always require the removal of clothing.
Restorative Massage-
Relaxing long strokes to encourage relaxation with some focus areas using modalities like muscle stripping, long holds, and petrissage. The pressure varies from light to firm depending on how the tissue responds and client preference. This service is customizable to upper/lower body or whatever areas a client prefers I spend the time.
Deep Tissue Massage-
I start with myofascial release and skin rolling before moving into more long slow strokes with deep holds and some friction. This service is similar to restorative massage but with deeper pressure for most of the body. This service is customizable to upper/lower body or whatever areas a client prefers I spend the time.
Feedback-
I love when clients give feedback. I am always open to customizing a client's experience.

"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
you touch everything."
